Sell a Machine

Thinking of letting it go?

Tell us what you know about your machine. We’ll help you weigh what makes sense next: repairing it, selling it yourself, or considering an offer from us.

We’ll say when another route looks better.

If selling it locally looks like the better route for your machine, we’ll tell you.

If you’d rather leave the repair, listing, messages and handoff to us, we can discuss an offer when the machine is a fit.

A fault doesn’t tell the whole story.

working · faulty · untested · incomplete

The model, its overall condition and the work it may need all count. You don’t need to pay for a repair or settle on a diagnosis just to ask — and working machines are just as welcome.

Review and send

How should we get back to you?

A phone number or email is enough.

Preferred reply

Initial review is free. Sending this does not commit you to selling.

Austin first. Ship-in selectively.

A handoff in the Austin area is simplest. A machine farther away may still make sense, depending on the machine and the cost of shipping it.

Do not ship a machine before Boiler & Burr has reviewed it.

Questions sellers ask

Do you buy broken machines?
They’re welcome for review. Some will be a fit and some won’t; we’ll tell you plainly either way.
Do I need a diagnosis or a repair first?
No. Describe what you’ve noticed in your own words. If a detail would change our answer, we’ll ask.
Could I get more selling it myself?
You might. It’s a trade-off between price and the time it takes to list it, answer messages and meet buyers. We’ll give you our honest read.
How do you decide on an offer?
A person reviews the machine: the exact model, whether it works, anything missing or damaged, the work it likely needs, how it would get to us, and whether we have a sensible use for it right now. There’s no automatic valuation.
Does sending details commit me to selling?
No. It only asks for a review. Whatever we come back with, you decide.
Do I need to bring or ship it to you first?
No. Tell us what you know here, or text a few photos if that’s easier. We’ll discuss a handoff only if there’s a fit.
