Boiler & Burr is an Austin-based espresso-machine refitting shop built around a simple idea: before deciding what to do with a machine, understand what is actually still useful about it.
We repair machines that still belong in active service, refurbish machines that have fallen out of service, and recover useful components when the complete machine no longer makes sense to return. We also buy selected machines and work with businesses handling lots, returns and recurring inventory.
Every machine deserves an informed decision.
Sometimes that answer is a repair. Sometimes it is a deeper refit. Sometimes the sensible answer is to sell the machine, recover its useful parts, or leave it alone. Boiler & Burr exists to make that decision clearer.
From coffee to the bench
Boiler & Burr grew out of more than twenty years spent around coffee, espresso and roasting—and a long-running interest in the machines behind them.
The repair side developed naturally from the same mechanical curiosity that makes an engine, an espresso machine or any well-designed piece of equipment hard to leave alone once something stops behaving the way it should. Understanding the system, finding the actual fault and getting useful machinery back into service became as compelling as the coffee itself.
