Presented

Machine arrived functional but exhibited extensive scale around upper steam-boiler fittings and leakage after affected hoses/seals were disturbed. Cracking was visible along the bottom of the reservoir.

Findings
  • Scale deposits were concentrated on the top of the steam boiler near upper fittings and probes.
Work
  • Completed deep manual descaling and repeated flushing until visible scale debris cleared.
  • Cleaned boiler level probes and serviced the steam-boiler vacuum breaker.
  • Replaced boiler seals/O-rings, grouphead gasket and one PTFE pump-to-boiler pressure hose.
  • Cleared a scale-obstructed steam-boiler outlet/drain and freed a bound one-way fill valve; backflushed and detailed the machine.
Tested
  • Brew, hot-water and steam functions verified after service.
  • Reservoir held full without observed leakage during testing.
  • Completed eight days of functional test use without recurrence of service-cycle fault codes.
  • Pump and solenoid coil resistances checked against known-good comparisons.
